We are pleased to annouce our recent move to bigger and better premises! The move is part of our strategy to expand operations, and further improve the service and support we to provide to our customers. The newly-refurbished 10,000 sq m (33,000 sq ft) building is on the Hortonwood industrial estate in Telford, Shropshire.

This expansion comes just six months after IPS acquired the Planet Platforms service business, in July 2010, making us the UK’s largest after-sales service provider to the access industry. The move to the new premises means Planet Platforms’ customers will benefit from greater mobile service coverage and enhanced customer service, through our parts distribution network and central support desk.

IPS Operations Director Kevin Shadbolt says: “This is a small move in terms of distance, but a big one in terms of the potential we now have to develop our services. Customer demand meant we outgrew our previous buildings. We will now have more space to stock our ever more comprehensive parts inventory and to enhance our ordering service.”
Sander Mellaard, IPS’s Parts Manager, said: “We were bursting at the seams in the old premises because parts sales were expanding so rapidly. Having additional space means we’ll be able to give customers an even faster and more efficient service. It’s very exciting for us.”

The new premises include a 4,600 sq m (15,000 sq ft) workshop complete with over-head crane, a 3,000 sq m (10,000 sq ft) parts store containing £1 million in stock value. A further 1,000 sq m (3,000 sq ft) is dedicated to office space, split equally between the service and parts divisions.
